Heute machen wir die große Runde rückwärts, durchs Nossob Tal und dann quer zum Aoab Tal und zurück. Erst mal nicht viel, ausser den üblichen Verdächtigen.
Today is the big circle, first up the Nossob valley, then across and via the Aoab Valley back home. No mut too see, except the usual suspects.
Dann aber mal ein seltener Gast, eine Fledermaus-Ohren Fuchs, also insgesamt waren da 2. Die sind normalerweise nachtaktiv und tagsüber nicht zu sehen.
But then we see a are visitor, a Bat Eared Fox, there where two of them. These are nocturnal only and usual not to be seen at daytime.
Und den hier hätten wir fast nicht gesehen, der lag direkt hinter einem Baum. Als ich rückwärts in den Baum fahre schreckt er hoch und will fast wegrennen, bleibt dann aber doch hier. Was ein Feigling.
And we nearly missed him, he was resting direct behind a tree. As i reverse and run into that tree, he jumps up scared and is about to run away but then he stays. What a pussy.
Die Mähne im Wind, so will man sie sehen.

Dann legt er sich zur Ruhe.
Then he lays for resting.
Etwas weiter gucken die hier nervös in seine Richtung. Solange der da liegt passiert nix, aber irgendwann steht er auf.
A bit further up, these are looking nervously in his direction. As long as he rest nothing happens, but at some point he will get up.
Und auch die liegen im Schatten. Liegt wohl daran, dass heute Sontag ist.
And even those are resting in the shade. Maybe its because its sunday.

Auf dem Querweg finden wir einen Schädel von einem roten Gnus, würde prima auf die Motorhaube passen.
At the crossroad we find the skull of a red Hartebiest. Would fit nicely to the Bonnet.
Wir lassen es dann aber doch sein. Paßt irgendwie doch nicht und beim Tüv gäb es Ärger. Ausserdem ist es streng verboten und stinken tut es auch noch.
But then we left it there, Looks not that good and we would get discussions at the Warrent. And its higly illigal to take anything from the park and it stinks.
Als wir am frühen Nachmittag am Lager ankommen sind Thomas und Andrea, die wir aus Windhoek kennen auch eingetroffen. Die haben Toni und Ingrid auch zwischendurch kennengelernt.
As we reach the camp early afternoon, Thomas and Andrea are there, we know them from Windhoek and they know Toni and Ingrid as well from somewhere.
Da Andrea noch nie einen Löwen draussen gesehen hat, fahren wir nochmal zu dem Löwen von heute morgen, vielleicht ist der ja noch da. Und natürlich liegt er noch da und schäft immer noch. Faules Pack.
As Andrea has not see a free Lion before, we drive to the one from this morning, maybee he is still there. And he is still there, slepping. Lazy sod.
Und wir haben noch mehr Glück, denn der wird gerade wach.
And we have even more luck, he just wakes up.
Er steht dann auf und läuft neben der Strasse zum nächsten Wasserloch. Wenn man den so traben sieht glaubt man nicht da er in der Lage ist irgendwas zu fangen.
He gets up and walks to the next waterhole. If you see him walking you would not believe that he is able to catch anything.
Das Wasserloch ist zu weit weg, also tuts auch die nächste Pfütze.
As the waterhole is too far away, the next mudhole is good as well.
