There is one left from the 11 Lions, this one is still hungry.
Wir frühstücken an einem anderen Wasserloch, welches normalerweise gut besucht ist. Aber ausser ein paar Springböcken und der Orix hier ist niemand da. Es ist ziemlich leer heute im Park.
We have breakfast at anoher waterhole which is usually well visited. But except a few Springboks and this lonely Orix, nothing else here.
Es gibt teilweise sehr viel Vegetation, teilweise gar nichts.
There are some patches with lots of vegetation, other have nothing.
Wir fahren weit nach Osten und oft direkt an der Salzpfanne entlang. Tolle Bilder aber nicht viel zum Leben hier.
We drive deep into the east, next to the pan itself. Pretty pictures but not much to live on.

Am Aussichtspunkt kann man 3 km in die Pfanne reinfahren, hier bekommt man einen guten Eindruck wie groß das Ding ist, 120km lang und 80km breit.
At the viewpoint we can drive into the Pan for 3k, you get a really good feeling about the size of the pan, 120k long and 80k wide.

Und gerade als wir uns daran gewöhnt haben, dass wir nichts sehen läuft uns noch einen Spitzmaulnashorn vors Auto. Die heißen eigenlich schwarze Nashörner, aber das hier ist eher weiß und es traut uns nicht.

Bei den großen Pfützen legen wir die zweite Schlammschicht auf die Zicke, die erste ist angetrocknet.

Am Schluß checken wir nochmal die Löwen, aber es sind keine mehr da. Stattdessen sind 5 Giraffen hier, das sieht etwas makaber aus.
At the end, we check on the Lions again, but they are gone. Instead there are 5 Girafes walking along, looks a bit macaber.
