Beim ausbauen vom Kühler haben wir bemerkt, das unsere Chassis unter Strom steht wenn der 220V Stecker drin ist. Als erstes checke ich die Elektrik heute morgen, kann aber im Auto nix finden. Ich nehme den Stecker auseinander und sehe das Problem, einer der Kontakte ist nach innen geschoben und berührt die Erde, das sollte eigentlich nicht passieren. Geradebiegen und es sollte noch ein bißchen gehen. Vor dem Campingplatz steht der Franke Turm, ein Relikt aus der deutschen Vergangenheit, hier haben sie mal eine große Schlacht gegen die Hereros geschlagen und gewonnen, lange her.
We we got the Radiator out, we noticed that the chassis of the Car is under current when the 200V ist plugged in. First thing today is to check the electricity, but there is nothing wrong inside the car. Dismantling the plug shows the problem, one of the contacts get bent inside and touches the Ground, this should not be possible. I fix it and it should work for some time hopefully. In front of the Camp is the Franke Tower, a leict from old German times here, they fought a battle against the Hereros and won, but that is a long time ago.
Nach einer Stunde taucht dann die richtige Spitzkoppe am Horizont auf. Der Weg dahin besteht aus 30km Schotterstrasse, ziemlich übel.
After one hour the real Spitzkoppe appears on the horizon. The way to there is 30km gravel road, bad one that is.
Aber die Aussicht lohnen die 30km, das sieht schon toll aus.

Man kann hier sehr schön rumklettern, mitten zwischen den Felsen gibt es sogar einen kleinen Teich.
Is is good fun to climb between the rocks, there is even a little Rock Pool up here.
Eigentlich müßte der schon lange runtergefallen sein. Mal besser nicht so nahe dran gehen.

30km vor der Küste sind die Anzeichen nicht zu übersehen, es ist bewölkt und deutlich kühler, herrlich.

Wir stoppen 10km vor dem Ort und übernachten. Die Reifen sehen wirklich seltsam aus, es fehlen ganze Stücke. Nutzt aber alles nix, die müssen neu.
We stop 10k short of the town and stay there. The tyres look weired, there are whole chunks missing. Does not help, they must be replaced.
Da kommt sogar schon das Gewebe durch, die halten nicht mehr lange.
