Ziemlich pünklich um kurz nach 8 kommen meine Schlosser zurück, 30 Minuten später ist der Kühler gelötet und eine Stunde später wieder eingebaut. Er ist sogar dicht, was ich im Anbetracht der Lötnaht bezweifelt hatte, mal sehen wie lange das hält. Wir verzichten auf den kurzen Weg, das wären dann nochmal 200km Schotter, sondern fahren aussen rum was uns die Möglichkeit gibt nochmal in Outjo Kuchen zu essen.
Auf den Weg nach Outjo kommen wir an dieser Behausung vorbei, eigentlich völlig normal für hier, nur die Antenne trübt das Bild.
Nearly on time short after 8 my mechanics are back, 30 minutes later the Radiator is welded and another our later all is back in and it is waterproof, which i doubted after seeing the weld, we will see how long that will last. We take the long way now, the short is another 200k unsealed, and that gives us the opportunity to eat more cake in Outjo. On the way to there we pass near this dwelling, which looks pretty normal for here, but the antenna looks misplaced.
Bis nach Otjiwarongo gehts flott, dort kaufen wir nochmal ein und dann gehts nach Westen ins weniger besiedelte. Da gehts dann mitunter lange geradaus.
We are quick in Otjiwarongo, go shopping there and then we turn to the west, into the less crowded area. There are long strips of straight roads.
An dem Verkehr erkennen wir das hier vermehrt gebuddelt wird.
We can see from the traffic that there are a lot of mines here.
Die kleine Spitzkoppe kommt ins Bild, wir dachten erst das sei die richtige, ist es aber nicht.
The little Spitzkoppe comes into our view, we first thought that is the real one, but it is not.
Es wird teilweise bergiger und wüstenhafter, aber die Landschaft ist endlich nochmal wirklich toll.
Wir stoppen in Oumaruru, einer ziemlich deutschen Siedlung und haben einigen Spaß am Abend mit ein paar “Eingeborenen”.
There are more hills and more desert, but the scenery is for a change absolutly brilliant.
We stop in Oumaruru, a very german settling and we have a lot of fun with a few “Natives” in the evening.
