Warum man ein 4×4 haben sollte /Why you should have a 4×4

Der Wecker geht um 5.00 und 20 Minuten später sind wir durchs Gate. Wir düsen die 45km bis zur Düne im dunkeln und sehen aber schon das wir diesmal nicht allein sein werden. An der Düne steht dann auch schon ein Overlander und die Spur nach oben ist schon ausgetreten.

The alarms goes at 5am and 20 minutes later we are out of the Gate. We sprint the 45km to the Dune in the pitchblack but we can already see we are not alone this time. At the Dune is a Overlander parked and the path to the top is well marked.

Da oben zig Leute hocken wie die Hühner auf der Stange gehen wir nur bis zum ersten Gipfel, und kurz vor Sonnenaufgang kommen auch die beiden Holländer. Wir genießen die Stille und die Stimmung, die Farben und das Licht. Das ist einfach ein magischer Moment und man sollte das einmal erlebt haben.

As there are countless people on top like chickens on the roost, we stop at the first Top. Short before the sun appears the two Dutch arrive as well. Then we enjoy the silence, the mood, the colors and the lights. This is simply a magical moment and one should experiance this at least once.

Danach ist es mit der Ruhe vorbei und wir machen ein bißchen Böldsinn. Ingrid hat eine sehr markante, ansteckende Lache, wie haben sie schon lange vorher gehört bevor wir sie gesehen haben.

The its over with the silence and we have some fun. Ingrid has a very distinct laugh. We heart them long before we have seen them.
