Als wir uns auf den Weg nach Westen machen regnet es ein bißchen, toll, kostenlose Autowäsche.  Es sind nur 130km heute, da werd ich wieder fix und alle sein.

As we start moving, its raining a bit, brilliant, free carwash. It is only 130km today, i will be totally exhausted again tonight.

Unterwegs kommen wir auf die Idee an einer Lodge auf den Klippen zu übernachten. Allerdings scheitert der Versuch den Berg hoch zu kommen. Beim runterrutschen schliddere ich mit allen vier blockierten Rädern den Hang abwarts. Auch Babsi hat Probleme, sie ist in Sicherheit geflüchtet und läuft lieber.

On our way, we get the Idea to stop at a Lodge on top of the cliffs. Unfortunatly, this fails because we cant get up the hill, too steep. On my way down, i slide down with all four wheels blocked. Even Babsi has problem to get down, despite that she choose the safety of walking.

Dann stoppen wir natürlich an der Fingerklippe.

Of couse we stop at the Fingerclip.

Der Fels steht ziemlich allein und ziemlich gerade in der Gegend. Und man hat eine sehr gute Aussicht von hier oben.

The rock is pretty alone and straight up. And you have a very good view from up here.

Das ist die schönste Gegend die wir seit langen in Afrika gesehen haben, leider ist das Wetter nicht ganz so toll. Erinnert ein bißchen ans Monument Valley.

This is by far the most scenic area we have seen for some time in Afrika, only the weather is not up to it. Reminds us a bit to the Monument Valley.

Und natürlich sitzen auch am Rand die Himbas rum, das sind die ganz roten. Gegen Geld gibts Fotos und sie verkaufen auch selbstgefertigten Schmuck. Auch irgendwas zu essen wird gerne genommen. Der kleine Kerl ist nicht geschminkt, er hat Vitiligo. Das Schicksal kann schon ziemlich gemein sein.

And of course there are some Himbas sitting arround, these are the red ones. For money we can make pictures and they sell self made jewelry. Also they take whatever food they can get. The little guy in front is not painted, he has Vitiligo. Sometimes life can be such a bitch.
