Der Kreis schließt sich / The circle is complete

Die 100km nach Port Elizabeth sind schnell hinter uns, und wir fahren zur Walmer Mall. Da waren wir schon mal im November und somit ist der Kreis nach fast 24.000km komplett. Es ist doch wesentlich weiter als wir dachten, aber das ist jetzt eh egal.
The remaining 100km to Port Elizabeth are done in no time and we drive to the Walmer Mall. We have been here before in November and this means the circle is complete, after nearly 24.000km. This is a lot more then we though, but that does not matter an more.
Nach dem Einkaufen besuchen wir Louis, unseren Agenten um zu checken ob alles okay ist. Er arbeitet jetzt für sich selbst, und ist ziemlich zuversichtlich das alles reibungslos klappt. Er hat auch das Geld vom Hafen für unseren Schaden und wir sollen das nächste Woche bekommen, da bin ich ja mal gespannt. Das Schiff ist einen Tag später und wir sollen am Dienstag um 14:00 hier sein.
After our shopping we visit Louis, our agent. He does no work for himself and he is very confident that everything will be smooth as. He has the money from the Port for the damage to the Bitch and we will get that next week, if thats works this way out i will be very pleased, but i believe otherwise. The ship is a day late and we should be back next Tuesday at 2pm.
Wir wollen am Südeingang vom Addo Park übernachten und dann im Park morgen nach Norden fahren, aber der Platz ist direkt neben der N2 und sehr laut. Auf der anderen Seite ist die Chance hoch, im Aardvark auf Toni und Ingrid zu treffen, das wird dann nicht weniger laut, aber besser als das hier alle mal. Blöd ist nur, dass der Verbindungsweg durch den Park nicht geteert ist, und so schleichen wir 20km über eine sehr schlechte Piste und kommen gerade noch im hellen an.
We want to stay at the southern entrance of the Park and move inside the Park up north tomorrow, but the Camp is direct beside the N2 and very loud. On the other ide, the chance to meet Toni and Ingrid again at the Aardvark is very high and that would not be much more quite. Anyway, still better that that here. Only the the road through the Addo is unsealded and very bad, so we move the last 20km at a snails pace and reach the Camp just before nightfall.
Und natürlich sind die Holländer da, es wird ein lauter und lustiger Abend, unser Abendessen besteht aus Chips und kaltem Hähnchen und etlichen spirituelen Getränken.
And of course are the Dutch here, we have a pretty funny and noisy evening. Our Dinner consist if Chips and cold Chicken and several spiritual drinks.

St. Francis Eastcape

Heute verlassen wir die Garden Route und wollen zum Ostkap fahren. Es gibt noch einige Sachen zu sehen, das erste ist der Große Baum vom Tsitsikamma. Wieder können wir unsere Wildcard nutzen, und latschen den kurzen Weg bis zum dem Baum. Ist schon ziemlich groß, aber wir haben schon größere gesehen.
Today we will leave the Garden Route and drice to the Eastcape. On the way a several things to look at, the first is the Big Tree of Tsitsikamma. We use our Wildcard again and do the short walk to the tree. It is in deed failry huge, but we have seen bigger ones.
Kurz danach kommen wir an die Storms River Brücke. Der Fluß, an dessen Mündung der Campground liegt, hat hier ein tiefes und sehr schmalles Tal geschnitten. Die Brücke ist ebenfalls eine Beton Bogen Brücke, aber nicht so hoch wie die Bungee Brücke. Es gibt an jeder Seite einen kleinen Pfad, auf der Mitte merkt man dann schon wie hoch das Ding hier ist. Ziemlich hoch jedenfalls.
Shortly after we reach the Storms River Bridge. The river, at his mouth is the Campgrund, has dug a deep and very narrow canyon. The Bridge is also a concrete arc bridge, but not as high as the Bungee one. There is a small walkway on each side and at the middle you notice how high this thing really is. Pretty bloody high.
So sähe es aus wenn hier auch Bungee wäre.
This would be the view if they would do Bungee here as well.
Und so sieht die Brücke im ganzen aus.
And this is the bridge.
Die restlichen Kilometer sind meistens gerade und die Sonne kommt wieder raus. Es gibt jetzt nur noch Farmen links und rechts, der Urwald is verschwunden. Wir gehen in Humansdorp einkaufen und merken sehr schnell, dass wir aus der Garden Route draussen sind. Während wir in den letzten Wochen  fast keine Schwarzen gesehen haben, gibts hier fast keine Weissen und das Angebot im Supermarkt ist ein wenig eingeschränkt. Die Garden Route und Kapstadt ist wie eine Insel der Glückseligen, das hier ist wieder eher Südafrika, beide haben nix miteinander zu tun.
The remaining Kilometers are mostly straight and left and right is only farmland, no native bush is left. We go shopping in Humansdorp and we realize very quickly that we are not longer at the Garden Route. While we have seen nearly no blacks in the last weeks, here we see nearly no whites and the supermarkets offering is somewhat limited. The Garden Route and Capetown is like an island of the lucky ones, this is South Africa again and there s not much they have in common.
Der Campinglatz ist in einem Resort, welches schon bessere Tage gesehen hat. Es gibt ein Restaurant und wir überlegen einen Tisch zu reservieren, gucken aber mal vorsichtshalber in Tripadvisor nach, und das sieht nicht gut aus. Babsi geht einen Kaffee trinken und danach verzichten wir auf das Essen dort. Stattdessen gehts an den ewig langen und ziemlich leeren Strand, der ist aber dafür recht hübsch.
The Campground is in a resort which has seen better days . They have a Restaurant and we think of booking a table, but we have a look at Tripadvisor first, and what we see is not good. Babsi gets a Coffee there and after that we skip the Table. Instead we walk to the very long and lonely beach, which is very nice.
Der Sand is weiß und sehr fein, es gibt ein paar exotische Muscheln und wir geniessen die Meeresluft. Das ist der letzte Tag am Meer in Afrika.
The sand is white and fine, there are a few exotic shellfish and we enjoy the crisp fresh seabreeze. This is our last day at the beach in Africa.

Tsitsikamma Campground

Der nächste Tag beginnt wie üblich mit Sonnenschein. Wir frühstücken draussen, müssen aber die Markisse runter machen sonst werden wir gekocht. So beobachten wir das kommen und gehen am Campingplatz, sonst machen wir nicht viel.
The next day starts as usual with sunshine. We have brekkie outside but we must lower the Shade or we will be cooked. WE sit there and watch people come and go, other than that, we are not doing much.
Es ist so schwer aufzustehen.
It is so difficult to get up.
Am Nachmittag kommen Wolken auf und wir schaffen es wirklich uns aufzuraffen. Ziel ist der Wasserfall, über 3km weit weg, mal sehen ob wir das an einem Tag hinkriegen. Auf halbem Weg müssen wir ziemlich klettern und als uns zwei kleine grüne Schlangen über den Weg laufen reicht es, wir gehen zurück auf unsere Stühle. Genug Abenteuer für einen Tag.
Clouds increase early afternoon and we manage to get up. The destination is the waterfall, over 3km away, dont know if that can be done in one day. Half way we have to climb over huge Rocks and as two little green snakes cross our way, we have enough. Back to our Chairs it is, too much adventure is not good for you.

Natures Valley

Der Donnerstag wird mit Auto putzen begonnen, danach gehts nochmal in die Stadt, Kaffee und Carrotcake, aber nur ein Stück für beide. Der Campingplatz ist auf der linken Seite, da wor die kleinen Boote im Wasser sind.
We use the Thursday to clean the Car, after that exercise we are back in town for more Cafe and Cake, but only one piece for both of us. The Campground is on the left, where the small boats are in the water.
Ist schon ganz hübsch, aber für uns ist hier viel zu viel Tourismus.
It is pretty, but for our liking it is way to much tourism here.
Freitag morgen steht Sprungtraining für die Pfaue auf dem Programm. Was man mit einen Stück Brot doch alles machen kann.
Friday morning is the jump training for the Peacocks on the list. What you can with a piece of bread is always amazing.
30 km weiter fahren wir runter in Nature Valley, das Wetter wieder so wie wir es gewohnt sind. Wir waren erst nicht sicher ob wir diesen Umweg machen sollen, sind dann aber froh, dass wir es gemacht haben. Wunderschöne Gegend und kaum Menschen, was eine Wohltat.
30k on, we drive down to Natures Valley, the weather is again like we are used to. We where not sure if we should make the detour, but then we are glad we have done it. Very pretty, and next to no one around, what a treat.

The coast is wild and lots of waves, the sand is near white.
Wenn man dann noch den richtigen Rahmen trifft ist doch alles okay.
If you then find the right frame, all is good.
Das Flußwasser ist übrigens nicht soo kalt.
The water from the river is not that cold.

Steht irgendwie schief.
She is somehow tilted.
Das Wasser ist von Sedimenten gefärbt, sobald es etwas tiefer wird erscheint es fast schwarz und unheimlich.
The water is coloured from the Sediments, as soon as it gets a bit deeper is looks almost black and scary.
Beim rausfahren aus dem Tal können wir nochmal das ganze von oben betrachten. Es gibt definitiv schlimmere Gegenden.
As we drive out of the valley, we can see the whole thing from above. There are definitely worse areas.
Nur ein kurzes Stück weiter kommen wir an die Bloukraanz Brücke, 216 m hoch und hier wird Bungee gesprungen. Die höchste Brücke für Bungee weltweit, behaupten sie. Und auch nicht so teuer, hier kann man sich den Herzinfarkt schon für schlappe 790 Rand holen, ein Schnäppchen.
Only a short way after we hit the Bloukraanz Bridge, 216m high and they do Bungee here. They claim this is the highest commercial Bungee worldwide. And it is not even expensive, you can get your heartattack here for lousy 790 Rand, a Bargain.
 Die höchste und längste Betonbogenbrücke in Afrika. Wir warten fast ne Stunde bis sich endlich ein paar Mutige gefunden haben. Der Sprung selbst hört aber schon früh auf, ich schätze mal 100-130m.

Da vorne gehts dann zu unserem heutigen Ziel, dem Storms Rivermouth Restcamp.
Straigh ahead we turn right to our destination today, the Storms River Restcamp.
Heute fangen die Herbstferien an, aber wir haben eine Buchung für 2 Tage. Das ist der teuerste Platz von allen in Afrika, 320 Rand pro Nacht.
Today is the start of the autumn school holidays but we have a booking. This is the most expansive Campground we have been to in Africa, 21 Rand per night.
Viel näher ans Wasser geht ja dann auch nicht mehr.
You cannot get much closer to the waters edge.
Für 2 Nächte kann man sich das schon mal gönnen.
For two nights its okay.
Dassies gibts jedenfalls schon mal genug, ich frage mich wie die wohl gegrillt schmecken.
In any case, there are anough Dassies arround and i wonder how they would taste like on the Barbie.
Es ist noch nicht soo spät, also machen wir noch den Walk zu der Hängebrücke, nur einen Kilometer vom Restaurant. Dummerweise ist es zum Restaurant schon 1 Kilometer, und ab da geht es rauf und runter.
It is not yet that late, so we do the Swingbridge walk, only one Kilometer from the Restaurant. Unfortunately the Restaurant is 1 Kilometer away, and from then on its up and down.
Es sind eigentlich 3 Hängebrücken, die längste geht über den Storms River und leider ist die Sonne doch schon zu tief.
In fact there are three Swingbridges down there, the longest goes over the Storms River and the sun is too deep by now.
Wir sind dann auch nicht allein, und es stehen große Schilder, dass man nicht hüpfen darf. Wenn ich das gewüßt hätte wäre ich nicht so weit gelatscht.
We are not alone there and they have big signs, saying that jumping is not allowed. If i knew that before i would not have walked that far.
Wir brauchen dann insgesamt fast 2 Stunden und ich bin etwas geschwitzt und habe durst.
We need almost two hours for the whole trip and i am sweaty and thirsty.
Wir kommen dann passend zum Sonennuntergang zurück und der ist ja schon kitschig.
We get back in time for the sundown, and that is just a bit too much.

Am nächsten Morgen scheint wieder die Sonne. Nach einem kurzen Abschied von Andrea und Thomas, die werden wir erst wieder in Deutschland treffen, gehts wieder nach Osten. Plettenberg ist ja nur 30km weit weg, also haben wir viel Zeit und gehen erst noch im Gemüseladen einkaufen. Unterwegs halten wir am Garden of Eden, ein Stück urprünglicher Regenwald.
Next morning and sun is shining again. After a short Byebye from Andrea and Thomas, will might see them again in Germany but not here any more, we turn to the east again. Plettenberg is only 30km away and therefore we have plenty of time, so we first stop and the Fruit and Veggie Store to shop. On our way we stop at the Garden of Eden, a patch of original rainforest.
Ein paar der Gelbholzbäume sind ziemlich groß, aber die importieren Eukalyptusbäume sind noch größer. We warten nur noch auf ein paar Koalas. Der Weg ist 30m und recht hübsch, allerdings gibts solche Wälder an der Westküste und im Fjordland von NZ überall, ist also nix neues für uns.
A few of the Yellowwoodtrees are pretty big, but the imported Eucalyptus trees are even bigger, we just wait to see a Koala. The walk is 30m and nice, but we have those sorts of forest everywhere on the Westcoast and Fjordland of NZ, so noting new for us here.
Passend zum Mittag erreichen wir Plettenberg Bay wieder, und wir suchen uns ein schönes Plätzen zum Essen.
Fitting for Lunch we are back in Plettenberg Bay, and we search for a nice spot to stop and eat.
Schon net schlecht, oder.?? We machen Mittag und geniessen die Aussicht über die Bucht und das Wasser.
Not bad eh ??. We stop for Lunch and enjoy the view over the Bay and the Water.
Wir latschen eine Weile durch Plettenberg und stoppen für den obligatorischen Kaffee. Die Carrorcake sieht zu gut aus, und wir nehmen 2 Stücke mit. Ansonsten sehen wir auf der Hauptstrasse ca 10 Maklerbüros und mehr muss man über Plettenberg Bay nicht sagen. Es gibt auch nicht viel mehr zu sehen, um hier ein Haus zu kaufen muß man das hier schon mögen.
We walk a bit through Plett and stop for the obligatory Cafe. The Carrorcake looks to good and we take two pieces with us. We spot approx. 10 Real Estate Shops on the main road alone, and that tells the story of Plettenberg Bay. And to be honest there is not much else here, so to buy a house here, you really need to like that.
Am Campingplatz machen wir uns dann einen Tee und futtern den Kuchen, der allerdings wirklich ausgezeichnet ist.
Back to the Campground we have tea and eat the cake, which is excellent.
Vor dem Abendessen noch einen Spaziergang am Strand und wir erfreuen uns an dem warmen Licht. In der Lagune ist das Wasser auch nicht soo kalt, ausserhalb hat es immerhin doch schon 17 Grad.
Before the Dinner, we have a walk at the beach and we enjoy the warm light. In the Laguna is the water not that cold, outside it has an impressive 17 Degrees.

Robberg Reserve

Auf dem Programm steht heute ein Besuch des Robberg Nature Tracks, den gibts als 2,5 und 11km Version. Wir entscheiden uns für die mittlere Strecke, die lange hat zu viel Kletterei dabei. Der Robberg ist eine Halbinsel an der Westecke von Plettenberg Bay. Das Wetter hat gut angefangen aber es zieht sich etwas zu, was uns entgegen kommt, wir haben nämlich immer noch keine Hüte gekauft.
Today, a visit to the Robberg Track is on the cards, they have a 2k, 5k and 11k walk. We take the middle one, the longest has to much climbing in it. The Robberg is a Peninsula on the western side of the Plettenberg Bay. The weather started as usual but the clouds increase, which we think is good today, becase we still have no hats.

Der Weg ist schmall und recht sportlich gehalten, Geländer gibts nur wo es unbedingt sein muß.
The track is tight and pretty sporty, Handrails are kept to the minimum.
Unterwegs sehen wir unten eine Robbenkolonie, als wir näher kommen können wir sich oben auch riechen. Trotz Bewölkung ist es schweinewarm und der Weg geht ziemlich steil nach oben, allen steht der Schweiß auf der Stirn.
On our way we come across this sealcolony, as we get closer we can also smell them up here. Despite the clouds it is very warm, the track is steep and everybody is sweating badly.
Ganz oben knickt dann unser Weg nach rechts ab und im Sands gehts es bis auf Meeresniveau wieder runter. Irgendwann muß es dann wieder hoch gehen, toll.
Right on top, our track turns to the right and we walk down to the sealavel again in the sand. Somewhere later, the track must go up again, brilliant.
Trotzdem ganz hübsch.

Wo solls denn hier weitergehen.??? Nach einer kurzen Rast machen wir uns wieder auf den Weg, aber es wird etwas komplizierter. Aber alles noch im Rahmen.
Where is the track.??? After a short break, we walk on, but it is getting complicated. But still okay.
An dieser Engstelle komme ich gerade noch vorbei, sonst hätten wir ALLE wieder zurück gemußt, das wäre bestimmt lustig geworden durch den Sand bis oben hin.
At this tight spot, i just manage to pass through. Otherwise we would ALL had to go back, going through the sand up to the top again would have been fun.
Von da unten bis hier hoch. Nachdem wir uns erholt haben fahren wir zurück nach Knysna, Pizza am Cut essen. Abends fängt es ein bißchen an zu regnen, aber wir kommen trocken hin und zurück.
Falls es einer gemerkt hat, die Bilder haben ein anderes Format. Unsere Nikon soinnt seit ein paar Tagen, die Batterie ist ratz fatz leer, so auch heute morgen. Ich habe dann zum Glück die Bilder von Andrea bekommen, sonst hätte es heute keine Berichterstattung gegeben.
From down there to up here. After we recovered from the walk, we are heading back to Knysna, for having a Pizza tonight at the Italian near the Cut. Its rains a bit in the evening but we manage to get there and back in the dry.
Just if anybody noticed, the format of the Pictures is diferent. Our Nikon plays crazy since a few days, the batterie is empty in no time, also this morning. Luckily i got the Pics from Andrea, otherwise there would not be a report to the world from this day.

Birds of Eden

In Plett kann  man so ziemlich alles machen was Tourist machen wollen. Es gibt Elefanten, Tiger, Löwen, Wölfe usw zu sehen. Aber wir haben schon genug Katzen im Käfig gesehen und Elefanten kommen nächste Woche. Also bleibt noch das Birds of Eden, ein 3500 qm großer Vogelkäfig, in dem man rumlaufen kann. Hier sollen 2500 Vögel von 280 verschiedenen Spezies rumfliegen. Und etliche sind ziemlich zutraulich.
You can do in Plett what ever Tourist would like to do, there are Lions, Tigers, Wolfs, Cats Elefants and you name it on display. We have seen enough Cats in Cages and Elefants will come next week anyway, so Birds of Eden is left, thats a 3500 sqm cage where you can walk in. There are 2500 Birds from 280 species, and some are really friendly.
Am Boden laufen uns schon mal ein paar Goldfasane über den Weg, ziemlich bunt.
On the ground are a couple of Gold Phesants, very colorfull.
Die sehen ein bißchen aus wie Darth Vader mit einem Grafity Helm auf.
They look a bit like Darth Vader with a Grafity Helmet on.
Laut Broschüre soll es auch ein paar blaue Aras geben, was wir aber bezweifeln, den dann müßten Sie auch die Nüsse haben, die diese ausschließlich essen. Aber ein paar Blau Gelbe gibt es uns die sind nicht freundlich und versuchen uns zu beißen.
According to the paper, they should have a few blue Araras which we doubt, then they must have those nuts that they eat exclusivly. But we see a few blue and yellow ones and those are not friendly and try to bite us.
Der kleine ist ein Beardet Barbet.

Und der hier ist ein, wie ja jeder weiß, Channel billed Tukan.
This one is a , as everybody already knows, Channel Billed Toucan.
Ich werde dann von einem Eclectus Papagei angenacht, allerdings ein Männchen und das wundert mich doch etwas.
A Electus Parret hits on me, the onyl thing that worries me a bit is that fact that he is male.
Er ist ziemlich anhänglich, aber als mein Arm anfängt lahm zu werden serviere ich ihn ab.
He is very touchy, but when my arm gets lame, i get rid of him.
Dieser hübsche Kerl ist ein Kronen Kranich.
This beauty is a Crowned Crane.
Während die alten Männer über die Flamingos staunen, flanieren die Kraniche an der Kamera vorbei.
And while the old farts wonder about the Flamingos, the Cranes parade next to the Camera.
Der hier läßt sich gerne am Kopf streicheln, wenn man dann aufhören will kratzt er mit seinen Krallen, der Stinker. Es ist ja keine Frage, wer den Kratzer abbekommen hat, oder ??
This ones likes to be coudled arround the head, if you stop, he uses his claws to scratch. Not a questions who gets the scratch, or ??
Noch ein Toucan, es wundet mich immer das der nicht vorne überkippt.
Another Toucan, it alswas puzzled me that they dont tilt over their front.
Auch meine Versuche ihn ala Crocodile Dundy zu hypnotisieren nutzen nix. Sobald man einen Finger näher bringt, versucht er zuzubeißen. Na dann eben nicht.
Even my attempts to hypnotise him ala Crocodile Dundy dont work, as soon as a finger gets close he attempts to bite. So, then f… yourself.

Plettenberg Bay

Die Sicht ist heute morgen besser und die Sonne scheint, was auch sonst.
The visibility is better today and the sun is shining, what else.
Wir fahren entlang der Lagune nach Knysna rein.
We drive along the Laguna into Knysna.
Bevor wir weiterfahren besuchen wir noch die andere Seite vom Channel, auch hier ist deutlicher Seegang. Es ist schon nach Mitta, und wir beschliessen bei dem Italiener am Strand eine Pizza zu essen. Normalerweise machen wir das nicht mehr, weil die Pizzen hier meistens mit Käse ertränkt werden, aber die hier sehen gut aus und sie sind auch sehr lecker.
Before we procede, we have a look at the other side of the Channel, there is a good swell as well. As it is after Lunch time, we decide to have a Pizza at the Italian place direct next to the Cut. Usually we have given up eating Pizza here, because they are usually drowned with Cheese, but these Pizza look good and they are good.
Schöner Wohnen in Knysna. Auf dem Weg nach Osten kommen wir an den Siedlungen der Arbeiter vorbei. Größer könnte der Kontrast kaum sein, da unten die Prunkbauten und hier oben das da.
Nicer living in Knysna. On the way to the east, we pass the dwellings for the worker. The contrast could hardly be bigger, down there the Mansions and up here this.
Nach 30km erreichen wir dann die Plettenberg Bucht, die bekannteste Touristenecke an der Gardenroute. Erinnert uns doch sehr stark an Nelson.
After 30km we reach the Plattenberg Bay, the most famous Tourist Spot here at the Gardenroute. Reminds us very much at Nelson.
Der Campingplatz ist kurz dahinter, an einer kleinen Bucht, sehr schön gelegen. Ist nicht ganz so voll wie die anderen. Der Kühlerschlauch ist bereits geflickt und wir haben einen entspannten Abend mit den zweien.
The Campground is behind the City close to a small Bay, very nice location, and it is not that full as the otheres where. The coolerhose is already fixed, and we have a relaxed evening with those two.

Knysna

Es ist uns ein bißchen zu voll in Mosselbai, also fahren wir weiter, nachdem wir uns nochmal das Meer angesehen haben. das tobt immer noch.
It is a little to full for our taste and we decide to move on, after we had another look at the sea, which is still wild.
Wir müssen immerhin 50km bis nach George zurücklegen. Von da wollen wir über die alte Strasse, die 7 Pass Road nach Kynsna.Dieser Abschnitt ist der Beginn der Gardenroute, der schönsten Ecke hier unten. Das Wetter ist mal wieder recht nett, wir verstehen das Gejammer der anderen gar nicht. Das dumme ist nur, die kommen auf uns zu und dann wird es auch bei uns nass.
We have to drive at least 50km to get to George. From there we want to drive the old road, the 7 Passes Road to Kynsna. This is the begin of the Gardenroute, the most scenic part down here and the weather is again really nice. We cant understand the whinging of the others about the weather, but as they are coming towards us, we will see some rain.
Die 7 Pässe Strasse ist nur bis 2 Tonnen. Wir können ja argumentieren das wir nur 2.99 hoch sind, aber 2 Tonnen nimmt uns keiner ab. Wir wollen uns auch so kurz vor dem Ende nicht noch irgendwo festfahren, also schauen wir uns mal die Victoria Bay an, aber der Platz da ist schon voll und es kommen immer mehr Leute wegen dem Feiertag.
The 7 Passes Road is only up to 2 tons, we can argue that we are only 2.99 high but nobody will believe us we are only 2 tons. We do not want to take any risks so short before the end and have a look at Victoriabay instead, but this is full and even more people are coming, it is public holiday.
Sieht schon ganz hübsch aus, oder ?. Der Ort da unten heißt Wilderness.

Wir halten mal wieder für einen Cafe. In der Sonne ist es zu heiß und im Schatten fast zu kühl.

Kurz vor Knysna.
Short before we reach Knysna.
Das ist die Lagune von Knysna und im Hintergrund liegt der Ort. Wir wollen zu einem Platz an der Westseite des Eingangs und müssen erstmal hoch hinaus und dann hinter dem Berg wieder runter.
This is the Laguna of Knysna with the town in the back. We want to go to a Camp on the western side of the channel and have to climb up high over the hill and down on the other side.
Unten wohnen die Reichen und Schönen, oben im Wald die Arbeiter. Deren “Häuser” sind etwas kleiner.
The rich and famous live down there and the workers up in the forest. There “houses” are a little bit smaller.
Hier ist eine Bucht neben der anderen und die sind alle hübsch. Und überall schwimmen hier die dicken Haie im kalten Wasser rum.
Here is one Bay next to the other and they are all nice looking. And in each one there are a lot of big Sharks swimming along.
Der Campingplatz ist direkt am Meer und auch ziemlich voll, nur diesmal keine Biker sondern Familien mit ne Menge Kinder. Genauso so laut und nervig.
The Campground is direct near the water and very full as well. This time its no biker but Families with a lot of Kids, as noisy as the bikers though.
Am Abend bekommen wir noch ne Mail von Andrea und Thomas, die sind 30km weiter in Plettenberg mit einem geplatzen Kühlerschlauch, da fahren wir morgen mal hin.
We get a Mail in the evening from Andrea and Thomas, they sit 30k away in Plettenberg with an exploded coolerhose, we will see them tomorrow.
